What makes wooden furniture exceptional
Anyone who has been in a woodworking shop at least once will forever remember the smell of wood. As an ecological and natural material, wood has many advantages. Our goal is to use it wherever possible.
Why?
Solid wood, as well as natural veneers, are always unique. No two trees or boards are the same, and consequently, the visible wood grain is always different. This fact alone is enough for inspiration to create from this material.
But there are other advantages as well.
Beauty
There are no other natural materials that can compare with wood in terms of aesthetics. The richness and diversity of the grain pattern of wood, combined with the right finish, creates a pleasant, almost mesmerizing image. The anatomy of different species of trees, the part of the trunk from which the wood comes, and even the conditions of growth have an impact on how a piece of furniture looks, which can be enjoyed for many years.
Strength
Wood, in relation to weight, is stronger than steel. This means that a kilogram of wood can withstand greater loads than a kilogram of steel. Of course, this way of determining strength does not take into account volume, which is more important in many applications. However, the natural anatomical composition of wood creates a structure that only modern engineering materials - such as carbon fiber composites - can match in this metric. This makes wood ideal as a material for furniture, where loads and volume constraints are low, but weight is important. As a result, the form can be highly varied, while maintaining the necessary strength.
Durability and restorability
To increase durability, wood surfaces are modified with varnishes, oils, waxes, resins or impregnating bio-protective agents. A suitable finish protects against environmental factors and mechanical damage for a long time. Despite the fact that no coating is forever, even after it is damaged, wooden furniture can be restored. Just remove the old finish and apply a new one. This can not be said of particleboard furniture, which, once the surface is damaged, most often cannot be repaired.

Wooden furniture is beautiful and long-lasting. Some antiques, or museum pieces, are hundreds of years old and will last many more. We don't aspire to eternity in our products, but we want to give our customers at least a piece of what's best in wood.
